Being a 'Guinea Pig' Can Be a Good Thing!

Our class had the wonderful surprise and opportunity to be Mrs. Freyou's 'Guinea Pigs' during our library time! Glenhope will be experiencing virtual field trips via Google Expeditions this week and next. Much to our good fortune, the 'devices' arrived early and Mrs. Freyou needed a class to give them a try! The scholars LOVED visiting the oceans of the Caribbean.

What If We Celebrated Thanksgiving in.....

We paired up with Mrs? Fulhart's 5th grade ASPIRE class for a fun Thanksgiving activity. The partners picked a month to 'move' Thanksgiving to. They had to apply what they knew about this month to create an entirely new celebration complete with food, decorations, games and name. 

Force and Motion

The scholars participated in a week long Science lab to explore Force and Motion. Each day they rotated to a different lab that enabled them to experience force and motion on a different way. Rather than introduce vocabulary and the terms: force and motion, the scholars generated the intended vocabulary and the meanings through hands-on experiences making this far more meaningful.
