Mrs. Blizzard Shares a Holiday Story

Our class received a special treat today when Mrs. Blizzard came in to read a couple of her favorite holiday stories!

Our Community Service Project

Cannon's December 2014 community service project was to design and create something special for the holidays. Kindergarten made holiday banners using burlap. We painted one of our feet and turned it into a Christmas tree or Snowman. We will use the donations we receive to support Heifer International by purchasing a sheep. We learned first hand how awesome it is to make a difference in the lives of others.

Building Gingerbread Houses with Dad

Today the scholars spent the morning building Gingerbread Houses with their Dad or Special Friend. The cafeteria was all a buzz with the sounds of busy house construction. Candy and icing was everywhere especially on the Dads!

Hour of Code Week

KLLast week we participated in Hour of Code with other scholars here and those around the world. Each day we had the opportunity to experience different coding activities; however our favorite day was Friday. On Friday, we went to library to learn how to program Roamers with Mrs. Berumen.

Buddy Has Arrived!

There was much excitement in our classroom this morning due to a special package that had been delivered.......the Elf on the Shelf! After reading the story we began the process of naming our elf. After voting two times, the name Buddy was given to our elf. We cannot wait to see where we will find Buddy tomorrow and the days that follow!
