Paper Chain Challenge

The Challenge:  Using 1 piece of construction paper, a glue stick and a pair of scissors, parents were to make the longest paper chain possible. The partners immediately got down to business of planning and assembling their chains. Pictured below is our progress thus far...tomorrow we will finish our chains and learn who has the longest paper chain.

Our 1st as a Learning Community

We spent our first week creating our classroom environment, establishing norms/rules and building community. 

Our 1st Day of 2nd Grade ASPIRE

We had a busy first day of school. The scholars greeted each other with excitement and spent the entire day actively engaged! If today is any indication of days to come, we are in for a terrific year!
