Magnets

We had a 'guest' teacher today...our very own Ava! Currently our class is studying magnets so Ava demonstrated how to make an electromagnet! She did a fantastic job explaining the materials and how they worked together to turn the nail into a magnet. We are so proud of our 'guest' teacher, Ava!

Sorting Shapes

We started a new unit of study, Geometry! The scholars worked in groups to sort shapes. They discovered they could sort in more than one way: color, size, shape and edges/no edges.

Valentines Party

We had great fun eating ice cream sundaes and looking at all our goodies we received!

Puzzle Power!

Since we have been in school for 100 days, the scholars worked in groups to assemble 100 piece puzzles.

Push, Pull, Go!

The scholars participated in an engineering unit called, Push, Pull,Go. The purpose of this engineering unit was to learn about:force, motion, gravity and systems. The scholars worked in pairs to construct ramps, swings and tops. They also explored force and motion using dominos. The scholars really grasped these concepts well by experiencing all the challenges. The scholars also took this learning home with the School to Home Connections. The families enjoyed exploring Push, Pull, Go at home!
