Sunny Sandbox

Our engineering challenge was to design a sandbox structure that would protect from the sun and rain. We began by testing the materials to determine those that met both criteria for sun and rain. We discovered that foil and yellow plastic passed both tests. Next we worked with our partner to determine the shape of our structure and the material we would use. Once we made our decisions, we made our sandbox covering. Finally we tested our coverings.
