Candy Bag Challenge

The scholars were given the challenge of designing and creating a trick-or-treat bag using either: foil, wax paper or brown paper toweling. They could use tape or staples to put their bag together. Their bags had to meet the following criteria: 3 closed sides, have a handle and be able to hold 3 scoops of candy corn. We began by looking at various types of bags noting what they all had in common as-well-as what made one bag more durable than another. The scholars also put to use their previous learned knowledge about foil and wax paper to use. The scholars discovered that having a strong/durable handle was very important to the success of their bag.
