Kindergarten Skypes with a Beaver Expert!
Kindergarten had an opportunity to Skype with a Beaver Expert today. Each class asked the expert a question concerning Beavers and the expert shared some interesting facts we had not learned. Our class wanted to know if Beavers hibernate; the answer is no.

GHS Baseball Players Were Here!
Our class had some very special readers this morning, the AWESOME GHS Baseball team! The scholars gave them all a thumbs up for doing a great job reading books from 3 of our favorite authors!

STEMLabs
Kindergarten is so excited to announce that our STEMLabs were funded through Donor's Choose! Thanks to everyone who so generously donated, our project was funded in 24 hours! So, very soon each of our 5 Kindergarten Classes will be receiving the following 5 labs: Engineer-a-coaster, Bridge Building, Vehicle Building, House Building and Block Play.
Scholars will be able to design and build their own roller coasters, learn about and build different types of bridges, homes and vehicles, use blocks, links, ramps and balls to explore structure, momentum, gravity, and so much more!
Rachel's Challenge Rally 2015
Please save the date: Saturday, April 18, 8:00-11:00am @Grapevine High School
There will be: a 1 mile fun run, a Community Fair with vendors and door prizes, Healthy Living Demonstrations and much much more!
PLUS, 2014 Miss Texas Monique Evans and Olympic Medalist, Jordan Malone will be there and signing autographs!
"I like to read!"
One of our scholars, Ava, asked to read a book for story time. When I asked her why she wanted to read, her reply was "because I like to read". This was music to my ears! Ava did an awesome job reading!
2x2 Reading Challenge!
Dalton is our 2nd scholar to complete the 2x2 Reading Challenge. He read and/or listened to all 20 books. His favorite book was, Tap the Magic Tree.
